Greg LaKomski attending 2010 US Rowing Adaptive Sweep Development Camp


Greg LaKomski is attending the 2010 US Rowing Adaptive Sweep Development Camp in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on June 5–8. The purpose of this camp is to identify athletes throughout the United States with racing and or National Team aspirations. It will prepare rowers who would like to try out for the national team at the July Selection camp.

This camp will offer the opportunity for athletes across the country to:


• Demonstrate their talents on the erg and on the water • Mix it up with other talented athletes • Learn more about the National Team • Meet National Team coaches


This year world championships are in New Zealand.


Greg is an accomplished bicycle racer and is sponsored by OPT. After

Seeing a newspaper article in the Austin American Statesman last fall, Greg has been training at the Austin Rowing Center under the auspices of their nationally recognized program "Rowing for All" headed by Diane Mc Diarmid. This program is open to all adaptive athletes no matter what their disability or experience.
