Shelly Foreman graduated from Southwest Texas State University in 1990 with a degree in Elementary Education. She taught Kindergarten and 2nd grade for eight years before starting a family. She and husband, Aaron, enjoy spending time with their three children, Brennan, Jackson, and Reagan. Shelly also enjoys cycling, swimming, Tennis and being outdoors.

Frieda Borth

Frieda Borth is an experienced amputee with a heart for the needs of new amputees. In 1977, Frieda lost her left leg below the knee when she was hit by a drunk driver while riding her motorcycle. After her accident, Frieda returned to her career as a professional musician and continued to play professionally until 1998.
In 2001, Frieda found herself drawn to the prosthetics field. With assistance from DARS, Frieda was able to start an apprenticeship as a prosthetics technician. Frieda worked to fabricate prostheses for five years while also becoming certified as an Amputee Peer Visitor. In 2002, Frieda founded the Round Rock Amputee Support Group, which she continues to facilitate to this day.
In 2007, Frieda joined the OPT team where She is works tirelessly as a patient advocate and director of the Public Relations team.
Certified Amputee Peer Visitor
Jo is our newest member of our public relations team. She will soon be a certified peer visitor. Jo became a left above knee amputee when she was hit by a car while driving her motorcycle. She worked at Samsung for 10 years as a process technician. Jo is the proud mother of her 26 year old son, Jacob. She enjoys biking, motorcycle riding, hiking and swimming. She has a love for all animals—especially cats!

Louisa Garrod

Certified Amputee Peer Visitor
Louisa is the Office Manager at OPT. Louisa has been with OPT since the very first day. She has a 2 yr Associate Degree in management, Diplomas in Medical Coding and Billing and in Medical Transcribing. Louisa is a Certified Amputee Peer Visitor and takes great pride in being able to give support to OPT’s above knee amputees. Louisa lost her right leg above the knee in a motorcycle accident. She is an APA League Billiard player, avid flower and vegetable gardener and enjoys fishing, reading, and playing blackjack in Vegas. Louisa is the Mother of 2 (son and daughter) and the Grandmother of two teenagers.

Carlos Garcia
Public Relations
Carlos is a new member at OPT this year, 2011, joining the Public Relations department and is also an amputee peer visitor. He graduated from St.Edward’s University with his B.A. majoring in Kinesiology in 2010. Carlos is a two time cancer survivor (Osteosarcoma) and is a left leg above knee amputee resulting from his amputation due to his cancer. Carlos is an avid cyclist, enjoys staying active, and rock climbing. He is also a proud member of Team LIVESTRONG.

Kim received her BS from Texas A&M University-Commerce in 2006. Kim and her husband, Andy, have been married for 3 years. They have two dogs, Ruger & Charley. Kim loves spending time with her family, and enjoys shopping, and making jewelry any chance she gets.

Tiffany Dotson

Tiffany Dotson works part time at OPT as a patient coordinator. Tiffany has worked in O&P for numerous years and is happy to have found a home here at OPT. When at home she stays busy with her husband chasing their two young daughters. Tiffany enjoys cooking, Cowboys football and being crafty.
