Jo is a highly energetic woman, who joined the OPT team in October 2009, after ten years as an employee of Samsung Austin Semiconductor. In 2008, while riding her motorcycle with friends on a return trip from Marble Falls, Jo was hit by a car, severing her leg. The damage to Jo’s knee necessitated an above knee amputation. Jo works hard every day to be independent and live her life to the fullest. Jo has recently taken up cycling. Jo became a certified amputee peer visitor in 2010, and she truly enjoys speaking with new amputees.
